Looking for a delicious snack or side dish that hits the vegetable and lower-carb spot? Frozen veggie fries in the air fryer are a great option!

Made from different vegetables and crispy in minutes, these colorful veggie fries are great for when you don’t feel like making veggie fries from scratch!

Recipe Tips

Before making air fryer frozen veggie fries, have a quick look through these recipe tips:

  • You don’t need to defrost the veggie fries first. Just add them to the preheated air fryer from frozen.
  • There is (typically) no need to add any oil. Often, frozen veggie fries already contain oil and/or have an outer coating that will help them get crispy. If unsure, check the ingredients on the package.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer – otherwise, the veggie fries might not get crispy.
  • Be gentle when you are air frying these veggie fries. Some of them – like the red beetroot ones – are a little softer than the parsnip ones and more likely to break or lose their shape.
  • Your cooking time might vary slightly because your brand of veggie fries and your air fryer are likely different than ours.

Step by Step Instructions

For the steps on how to air fry frozen veggie fries, you can have a look at the instructions with visuals below.

If you just want to get started and don’t like photos, you’ll find the detailed recipe card below with the cooking times and temperature.

First, preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit.

When the air fryer is hot, add the frozen veggie fries. Gently shake the air fryer basket so that the veggie fries are evenly spread out.

A little overlap is fine, but don’t overcrowd the air fryer as this can keep the veggie fries from getting crispy.

Air fry the veggie fries at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-13 minutes until tender and crispy on the outside.

Gently shake the air fryer basket every 4 minutes so that the veggie fries have the opportunity to cook evenly.

The exact cooking time can vary by the frozen veggie fries brand you have and your air fryer.

When done cooking, remove the veggie fries from the air fryer.

If you want to season them, you can add the veggie fries to a bowl, add your seasonings of choice, and gently toss.

Then serve the fries right away – but be careful because they’ll be hot. Enjoy!

  • Our frozen veggie fries were made out of carrot, parsnip, and red beetroot. If your veggie fries are made out of different vegetables, this could affect the cooking time a little bit.
