Crispy Air Fryer Parmesan Smashed Carrots

Air fryer parmesan carrots are cheesy, crispy, and delicious! The carrots get roasted in the air fryer before adding the parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

  • ½ pound carrots
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • teaspoon salt
  • cup shredded parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. To a large bowl, add olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Stir to combine.
  2. Peel or scrub the carrots if needed. Cut each carrot into 3-4 pieces (about 1.5-2 inches in length). Then take those pieces and either quarter, half, or for really thin pieces leave whole. You want your carrot pieces to be about the same thickness.
  3. Place the carrot pieces in the bowl and toss to combine in the oil and seasonings.
  4. Add air fryer parchment paper to the air fryer basket, then add the carrots in a single layer. Air fry at 380 degrees F for 10 minutes, or until carrots are tender.
  5. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over the top and air fry for an additional 5-7 minutes.

Notes

  • All air fryers cook differently. Watch closely to make sure carrots and parmesan are done to your liking.
  • Cooking times may vary based on the size and thickness of your carrots. I always make sure most of my carrots are tender before adding the parmesan cheese.
