Air Fryer Turkey Crown

If you want to serve a small turkey crown, try cooking it in an air fryer. You’ll not only free up some oven space but soon be enjoying a tasty turkey dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.6 kg turkey crown (or appropriate size for your air fryer)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried mixed herbs (or seasoning of your choice)

Instructions

  1. Pat the turkey crown dry with some kitchen towel.
  2. Brush the turkey with some olive oil and add seasoning.
  3. Place the turkey, skin side down, in the air fryer basket.
  4. Set the air fryer off at 180°C for 55 minutes. See notes for different timings for different weighted crowns.
  5. Halfway through the cooking time, turn the turkey crown over.
  6. 10 minutes before the end, you can optionally lay some bacon over the top of the turkey crown.
  7. Check the turkey is ready, the juices should run clear, and the turkey should be piping hot. If you can, use a meat thermometer to check, the internal temperature of the turkey crown should read between 65°C and 75°C.
