Easy Air Fryer Garlic Butter Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces mushrooms cleaned and sliced in half
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 pinch salt
  • teaspoon ground black pepper
  • teaspoon garlic powder

Optional Topping:

  • 1 pinch fresh chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Smash the garlic: Using a sharp knife, chop the garlic into tiny pieces. Sprinkle a pinch of salt onto the garlic. Using the back of a wooden spoon, smash the garlic until it turns into a paste. Set aside.
  2. To a large bowl, add the mushrooms, melted butter, olive oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and garlic paste. Toss the mushrooms until fully coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 385 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. Once the air fryer is ready, add mushrooms to the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 8 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through.
  5. Remove mushrooms from air fryer, let cool, then enjoy as a side dish, appetizer, or snack! Optionally, top with fresh chopped parsley.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and heat for 1-3 minutes until warm.
