Summertime is all about grilling, and grilled peaches are such a wonderful treat. Grilling fruit is almost magical because it reduces the water content and intensifies the sweetness. Friends, if you’ve never tried grilled peaches, you’ve really got to make this recipe. It is suuuuuch a simple and flavorful dessert and it’s incredibly impressive on the plate.

How To Grill Peaches

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  2. Slice the peaches in half and remove the pit.
  3. Place the peaches flesh side down and grill for about 4 minutes.
  4. Turn the peaches skin side down and then drizzle with maple syrup.
  5. Grill for another 4-6 minutes until soft. Larger peaches may need a few more minutes.
  6. Remove and serve with ice cream and chopped walnuts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe peaches
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • oil optional for grilling

To serve

  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • ice cream optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium hea
  2. Slice the peaches in half and remove the pit.
  3. Place the peaches flesh side down and grill for about 4 minutes.
  4. Turn the peaches skin side down and then drizzle with maple syrup.
  5. Grill for another 4-6 minutes until soft. Larger peaches may need a few more minutes.
  6. Remove and serve with ice cream and chopped walnuts.

Air Fryer Instructions:

  1. Preheat Air Fryer to 350F / 180C.
  2. Slice the peaches in half and remove the pit.
  3. Place the peaches in the air fryer skin side down and then drizzle with maple syrup.
  4. Air fry for 8-12 minutes until soft. Larger peaches may need a few more minutes.
  5. Remove and serve with ice cream and chopped walnuts.
  6. Firmer peaches may need a bit longer.

Notes

  • Choose freestone peaches. This means you can easily remove the pit when you cut the peaches in half.
  • If you are having trouble removing the pit, use a melon baller to scoop it out.
  • Choose slightly firm peaches. Juicy peaches have more sugar which means they will be prone to burning on the grill or in the air fryer.
  • Grill peach halves rather than slices so they don’t fall through the grates on the grill.
  • You may need to adjust the cooking size depending on the size of your peaches.
