Ingredients
Scale
2cupsSelf-rising Flour
1cupYogurt Of Choice
Optional
¼teaspoonSalt
1tablespoonMelted Butterto brush on top
1tablespoonEverything Bagel Seasoning
Instructions
Making The Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yogurt, and salt if desired.
Stir the ingredients with a wooden spoon or silicone spatula or with the hook attachment of your stand mixer.
Adjust the dough with more flour or yogurt if too dry. The dough should be slightly sticky. You might have to work it with your hands, but don’t over-knead the dough to keep the bagels soft and moist.
Let the dough rest in a mixing bowl for 10 minutes.
Shaping The Dough
Divide the dough into 6 balls of the same size and roll them into a long cylinder, then pinch both extremities to bond and form a bagel round shape. Set aside on a plate covered with parchment paper while shaping the remaining dough.
Brush melted butter on top of each bagel and sprinkle some Everything Bagel seasoning or sesame seeds.
Air frying bagels
Spray oil in the air fryer basket or place a piece of parchment paper at the bottom of the basket and lightly oil with olive oil.
Place the bagels onto the basket and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked in the middle. Insert a pick in the center to check. If it comes out clean, they are cooked.
Cool down on a wire rack before serving with butter, jam, or cream cheese.
Storage
You can store the 2-ingredient bagels at room temperature wrapped in a clean kitchen towel or the fridge for 3 to 4 days.
You can also freeze bagels for later up to 3 months in zip lock bags and thaw them at room temperature before eating.
