-
Wash the potatoes and cut the 4 sides of the potatoes as shown in the picture. The potatoes should have flat surfaces on both sides.
-
Then slice the potato into ½ inch thick. And place 2 skewers on each side of the potato. This helps by cutting through the potato all the way down.
-
Start slicing the potato at a 90-degree angle, flip it over, and then cut it at a 45-degree angle. The potato should look like a net as shown in the picture below.
-
Take a skewer and insert it from the middle of the potato.
-
Once you have finished inserting the skewer put them in the bowl of water for at least 30 minutes. You can cook them right away but if you have time you can soak them in water for a crispier result.
-
Remove the potatoes from the water and dry them with a clean kitchen towel or paper towel.
-
Take a small mixing bowl to add, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix them until well combined.
-
Brush each side accordion potatoes with oil.
-
And sprinkle the seasoning mixture.
-
Preheat the air fryer to 200C/400F for 3 minutes.
-
Transfer the season accordion potatoes to the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket instead do it in batches if needed.
-
Cook them at 200C/400F for 10 minutes. Flip them halfway through the cooking process for an evenly cooked result.
-
Remove the crispy air fryer accordion potatoes and serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy.
