BACON – Sweet and smoky maple bacon pairs beautifully with the spices we are using today. If you prefer a different type of bacon, feel free to use that instead. If you plan on using a turkey bacon or chicken bacon, adjust the time accordingly as these types of bacon may take less time than a pork bacon might, you may want to keep a close eye on it in the air fryer.

CARROTS – Fresh carrot sticks are best. Be sure to check the carrots in your air fryer before wrapping in bacon to make sure their size fits. If not, trim the ends to size.

How to Make Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Carrots

  1. Peel and wash the carrots. You can leave the ends on or trim them off. Check to be sure the carrots fit into your air fryer before wrapping with bacon. Dry the carrots with a paper towel.
  2. Wrap one piece of bacon tightly around one carrot. Lay the carrots end-side down on the air fryer grate to keep the bacon from curling up while cooking.
  3. In a small bowl whisk together the brown sugar, salt, nutmeg, and dried thyme.
  4. Air Fry at 385F for 11 minutes. After 6 minutes, open and sprinkle the carrots with your brown sugar mixture – or brush if using the brushable version.
  5. Bring back to the air fryer and continue to cook until finished.
  6. Top with fresh thyme if desired. A delicious side dish or appetizer.
