Air Fryer Baked Camembert

Air Fryer Baked Camembert

The best thing about Air Fryers is that they don’t need preheating, making this Air Fryer Baked Camembert a super quick treat!

I love Baked Camembert. Sometimes I dip bread, sometimes a spoon (less calories and carbs, right?).

Ingredients

All you need is a camembert really. Yes, that’s it.

Well, or two or three camemberts.

Instructions

You can leave the Camembert directly in its wooden base, remove the lid and any pretty bits it may include.

After removing the rest of the packaging, cut a cross, insert a couple of garlic cloves (unpeeled, whacked with the back of the hand), some fresh thyme or rosemary leaves (a fair bit in fact).

You can also pour a dash of white wine through the cross you’ve cut.

With 8 minutes to go, I tend to add crusty bread rolls so that I can dip them in the bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 camembert wheel 250 g

Optional

  • 1 garlic clove or 2
  • ½ teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary leaves
  • Dash white wine

Instructions

  1. You can leave the Camembert directly in its wooden base. After removing the rest of the packaging, cut a cross, insert a couple of garlic cloves (unpeeled, whacked with the back of the hand), some fresh thyme or rosemary leaves (a fair bit in fact). You can also pour a dash of white wine through the cross you’ve cut.
  2. Air Fry, 180°C / 356 F, 16 minutes. This is in the Instant Vortex, air fryers are like ovens, times can vary. The Vortex has a built-in preheating time, so in other air fryers that start the countdown immediately, you may need to add a couple of minutes. If your camembert wheel is larger than the standard supermarket 250 g, you may also need to add a bit of time

Tip

  1. With 8 minutes to go, add part baked rolls so that it’s all done at the same time and ready to dip. You could also add cherry tomatoes at this time

Notes

If you use a camembert baker, you may have to increase the time depending on the material. Mine is ceramic so needs a bit of extra time when I use it.
Want to bake more than one camembert at a time? You can! It should not add any more time.
