Air Fryer Flatbread Pizza Recipe

You know those days when you want pizza, but also don’t want to deal with the hassle of ordering or making a whole pie? Well, we’ve got the solution: air fryer flatbread pizza! It’s easy, it’s delicious, and it’s ready in minutes. And let’s be real, who doesn’t love a good crispy crust? Plus, you can customize it with all your favorite toppings, whether you’re feeling classic veggie pepperoni or something a little more adventurous (I’m lookin’ at you, pineapple lovers). So fire up that air fryer, grab your flatbread, and get ready to taste the pizza of your dreams!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 flatbreads
  • ¼ cup pizza sauce
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella log sliced
  • 1 handful fresh basil torn
  • red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F/200°C.
  2. Spread pizza sauce on the flatbread leaving a ½ inch border. Then add mozzarella evenly over the sauce, and then place the pizza in the air fryer basket and cook until the crust is golden brown and the cheese has melted approximately 4 minutes. Remove from the basket, scatter fresh basil and optional red pepper flakes, serve immediately and enjoy!
¼ cup pizza sauce, 8 ounces fresh mozzarella log, 1 handful fresh basil, red pepper flakes, 4 flatbreads

Notes

  • Flatbread: If you’re out of flatbread, this recipe would also work with pita bread or naan bread (double up on flavor and use garlic naan bread).
  • Preheat: We pre-heat our air fryer, but if you have an oven-style basket-type air fryer, then you probably won’t need to.
  • Watch closely: Every air fryer model cooks differently; different brands and capacities can mean that your food will need a longer or shorter cooking time, so keep a close eye on them.
  • Storage: Store leftover pizza in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, and freeze for up to 3 months.
