Ingredients for air fryer potato chips:
- 2 potatoes
- 1 ½ tablespoons of vegetable oil
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Chili Flakes (optional)
Instruction for air fryer potato chips:
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly with clean water. Peel the skin off or you can leave the skin on it’s your choice. Either way, it works.
- Use a slicer or slice it using a knife.
- Make sure that the potato slices are evenly cut.
- Now take a bowl of water and put the potato slices into it. Soak the potatoes in the water for 20 minutes. After that wash the potato slices at least 4-5 times to get rid of the remaining starch.
- Now place the potatoes on the paper towel and let them dry for a while.
- Transfer the potatoes into a mixing bowl to add oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix them well to coat the potatoes evenly.
- Preheat your air fryer at 190C/375F for 5 minutes.
- Put the seasoned potatoes into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket to avoid uneven cooking.
- Cook the air fryer potatoes at 190C/375F for 15 minutes. Toss the potatoes halfway through the cooking process.
- Remove the potato chips from the basket, serve and enjoy your crispy air fryer potato chips.
Note: Soaking the potatoes in the water helps to eliminate the potato starch from the potatoes. Eliminating the starch gives you the best result.
