Wash the potatoes thoroughly with clean water. Peel the skin off or you can leave the skin on it’s your choice. Either way, it works.

Use a slicer or slice it using a knife.

Make sure that the potato slices are evenly cut.

Now take a bowl of water and put the potato slices into it. Soak the potatoes in the water for 20 minutes. After that wash the potato slices at least 4-5 times to get rid of the remaining starch.

Now place the potatoes on the paper towel and let them dry for a while.

Transfer the potatoes into a mixing bowl to add oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Mix them well to coat the potatoes evenly.

Preheat your air fryer at 190C/375F for 5 minutes.

Put the seasoned potatoes into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket to avoid uneven cooking. Cook the air fryer potatoes at 190C/375F for 15 minutes. Toss the potatoes halfway through the cooking process.

Remove the potato chips from the basket, serve and enjoy your crispy air fryer potato chips.
