These air fryer potato peels are an absolute game changer! Perfectly crisp and seasoned, these peels make a great substitution for fries. I normally leave the skins on my potatoes, but I was making a garlic mashed potato that neded to be peeled. Instead of discarding the peels, I got a little creative and tossed them with some oil and spices and air fried them and…. WOW! I’ll definitely be peeling my potatoes from now on just so I can make these air fried potato peels again. High in fiber and nutrients, these air fryer potato skins are the perfect crunchy addition to your dinner plate.
Ingredients
2 cups potato peels from roughly 6 potatoes
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Montreal Steak Spice
Instructions
Preheat the Air Fryer.
In a large bowl, toss the potato peels, olive oil, garlic powder, and steak spice. Add them to the preheated air fryer basket and bake on 400 degrees for 8 minutes, shaking halfway.
Test for doneness: make sure the peels are crispy on the outside and cooked all the way through. If they aren’t, add an additional 3 minutes on the air fryer.
When ready, transfer the potato peels to a plate and sprinkle on sea salt to taste. Enjoy!
