Prepare and cook the air fryer chips – grab our instructions for homemade air fryer chips here.
Once cooked, set aside whilst you prepare the salt and pepper seasoning and toppings.
For the seasoning and making the salt and pepper chips
Chop the onion, red and green pepper into bitesized pieces.
Put them into the tin foil baking tray. Scatter over the garlic powder, onion powder, Szechuan pepper, five spice and a sprinkle of salt. Give everything a mix together.
Drizzle over the sesame oil, give everything another mix together.
Cook the seasoned vegetables in the air fryer on 200C for around 7-10 minutes or until they’re softened.
Line the air fryer basket with a sheet of tin foil, if you’ve got thin foil, double line so it doesn’t rip when you lift the chips out.
Scatter the cooked chips back into the air fryer basket, scatter over the air fried seasoned vegetables, drizzle over a good glue of sweet chilli sauce, and gently give everything a mix together.
Cook the salt and pepper chips in the air fryer on 200C for around 5 minutes or until re-heated through.
To serve , scatter the chopped coriander, spring onions and chillies over the chips.
