Make your favorite festival food at home with this Air Fryer Turkey Legs Recipe. Juicy turkey drumsticks with a sticky glaze just like at the renaissance fair.
Cooking Turkey Legs In air Fryer
I love a good fair turkey leg, there’s no real replacement for it. But homemade turkey legs are great too. You can flavor them however you prefer and you don’t have to wonder how many flies landed on them before you ordered.
Make these turkey legs with just the dry spices, use the glaze recipe or just simple bbq sauce if you want. It’s up to you.
What Temp Should Turkey Legs Be Cooked To
Okay, so this is a bit of a debate. The outer portions of the turkey can be cooked to 165ºF internal temp while the internal portions are recommended for an internal temp of 180ºF. I take this to refer to a whole turkey. So I cook my individual legs to 165ºF. To err on the side of caution, go 180º.
