Have some leftover fried chicken from KFC or Popeyes? It’s so easy to reheat chicken tenders in the air fryer for a hot and crispy dish that tastes just as good as when it was fresh!

Here’s what I’m going to teach you in this post:

  • The best way to reheat chicken strips in the air fryer
  • How to store leftover cooked chicken strips
  • Tips for getting the best reheated chicken strips
  • Easy dishes to serve with leftover air fryer chicken tenders

The only problem with this method? You’re going to want to stop for takeout fried chicken all the time! You get a hot meal right away and then a delicious, super-easy lunch or dinner later in the week.

This recipe is also perfect if your kids order chicken tenders at dinner and can’t finish all of them. Thanks to the air fryer, they’ll be just as excited to eat their leftovers later!

How to Reheat Chicken Tenders in the Air Fryer

STEP ONE: Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F.

STEP TWO: Place the leftover chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer.

STEP THREE: Cook for 3 to 5 minutes until the chicken is warmed thoroughly.

Why You Should Reheat Chicken Tenders in the Air Fryer

In the past, I’ve seen way too many chicken strips go to waste. Trying to reheat them in the oven, microwave, or in a pan just never worked the way I hoped.

If I cooked the chicken strips long enough to get the breading crispy, then the inside turned to sawdust. But the alternative was soggy, dense breading. No thanks.

Now, thanks to the magic of the air fryer, you can get the outside of each chicken strip nice and crunchy without drying it out! And best of all, the chicken is ready in minutes.
