Cowboy Mushrooms are white button mushrooms cooked in a flavorful compound butter made with a variety of herbs and spices for a delicious side dish or appetizer. Not only are they so good on their own, but they are also perfect for topping a steak or grilled meat. If you love mushrooms, I also have Ranch Mushrooms that you will want to try!
Can I Make Cowboy Mushrooms Without Making Cowboy Butter Ahead Of Time?
Yes, you can still get all of the delicious flavors of the cowboy butter without making it in advance. Instead, add the butter and all of the herbs and spices to a large skillet. (Double the cowboy butter recipe.) Once the butter has melted, add the mushrooms to the skillet. Stir the mushrooms in the butter, herbs, and spices. Then, cook as instructed.
