Slow Cooker Pea And Ham Soup and it’s perfect.
Ingredients:
500 gram packet of dried green split peas on base of slow cooker.
2 diced carrots
1 onions,
1 teaspoon of minced garlic,
1 bay leaf
2 large ham bones
2 cups of frozen peas
Directions:
Add 2 diced carrots and onions, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic, 1 bay leaf. 2 large ham bones & 2 cups of frozen peas. Cover with water. Low for 8 hours or until meat falls off bones. Remove bones & shred ham and return meat to pot . This makes a very thick soup & sets once cold. I add a little water when reheating a serve to the thickness you like. Freezes well.
