Ingredients
One and a half pound pork chops
1 teaspoon of salt to taste
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 cups all purpose flour seasoned with 1/2 tsp salt ground black pepper and paprika
One can chicken or beef broth
One onion sliced
One-fourth teaspoon minced garlic
How to Make It
Season to taste with salt, ground black pepper. Using hands rub seasoning into meat.
Preheat stove to medium low heat. Add 5 to 6 tablespoons olive oil to skillet.
Add flour, salt, ground black pepper, and paprika to Ziplock bag. Shake to combine seasoning with flour.
Taking pork chops, place in Ziploc bag and shake lightly to dredge pork chop with flour.
Place in skillet and fry for a total of 10 minutes or as needed. Flip pork chops about every three minutes to assure even cooking throughout the pork chop.
Place onto plate to rest, while preparing gravy.
Using a deep skillet add 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Followed by adding onions, a quarter teaspoon minced garlic. Stir and allow onions to become translucent.
Add 2 tablespoons of seasoned flour. Using a spoon or spatula give onions and flour a quick stir.
At about three fourth can of chicken or beef broth and continue stirring to combine and remove any lumps from the mixture.
Cover with a lid allowing sauce to thicken.
Add pork chops and spoon gravy onto pork chops.
Reduce flame to low to low-medium heat. Allow pork chops to simmer for an additional 10 minutes before turning the stove top off.
