These Air Fryer Nachos are a perfectly easy appetizer that everyone loves. With crunchy chips, melted cheese, and fresh toppings, this plate of nachos will disappear!

Nachos In The Air Fryer

Looking for a popular appetizer that’s perfectly customizable for a crowd? These Air Fryer Nachos are just the dish. You start with the classic basics like tortilla chips and shredded cheese, and you can choose any other toppings like refried beans, salsa, chopped jalapeños, or olives. Whatever your family and friends love! And it’s so quick and easy to cook up a batch. You can make different plates of nachos with different toppings. It’s the perfect appetizer for entertaining.

The air fryer makes it easy to cook up the best plate of nachos. The chips stay crunchy while the cheese and other toppings get nice and hot. No more soggy chips here! Your guests will love that these nachos taste just like they do in a restaurant.

How To Make Air Fryer Nachos

First add a layer of parchment paper to the air fryer. This keeps the ingredients from falling through the holes in the air fryer basket and makes it easier to remove the nachos after cooking. You can also use aluminum foil.

Add a layer of tortilla chips on top. Then spoon on about 1/3 of a cup of salsa. Try to spread the salsa out evenly over the chips.

Add the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped green onion. Spread ingredients out within air fryer basket.

Heat at 350 degrees for 6 minutes.

Once cheese is melted, it’s time to remove the nachos. Use the parchment paper (it does not get hot) to pull the nachos right out of the air fryer basket. Serve with any dips you love!

Cooking Tips

  • These instructions work for a single layer of nachos (shown here) or multiple layers of nachos in the air fryer. Totally up to you!
  • If cheese is not melted by the end of cooking time, add another couple of minutes in the air fryer
  • Try out different toppings for these nachos… you can make them totally fresh by chopping pico de gallo, make them extra spicy, or keep it mild for those who prefer a lower level of heat. Another option- adding a serving of protein with cooked chicken strips, ground beef, or steak. Just be sure the meat is cooked through before you add it to the nachos
