These Air Fryer Mummy Hot Dogs are a frightfully fun Halloween treat! Wrapped in crescent dough “bandages” and air-fried to golden perfection, they’re crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside — and super easy to make. Great for kids’ parties or a spooky movie night!

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 8 hot dogs
  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash — optional)
  • Mustard or ketchup (for eyes)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and cut it into thin strips (about ¼ inch wide).
  3. Wrap each hot dog with dough strips, leaving a small space for the “face.”
  4. Brush with egg wash if you want a shiny golden finish.
  5. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, until the dough is puffed and golden brown.
  6. Add the eyes: use tiny dots of mustard or ketchup for the mummy’s “eyes.”

💡 Tips:

  • Use mini hot dogs for bite-sized party snacks.
  • Add a slice of cheese under the dough for extra flavor.
  • Serve with a side of bloody ketchup or spicy mustard dip!

Use the air fryer and just three ingredients to get the cutest Halloween mummy hot dogs you have ever seen! The best part is you only need 10 minutes to make this great party-themed snack!
  • Author: Julia
  • Prep Time: 2 minutes
  • Cook Time: 8 minutes
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 10 1x
  • Cuisine: American

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 hot dogs
  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent dough sheet
  • 20 candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Open the package of hot dogs and pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough onto a cutting board and cut into 4 squares. Cut each square into 10 narrow strips lengthwise.
  3. Wrap each hot dog with 4 strips of dough, stretching the dough a bit to wrap around the hot dog like mummy bandages. Leave a small area at the top open for the candy eyes.
  4. Place the hot dogs in the air fryer, leaving space between each for air to flow. You will likely need to work in batches.
  5. Air fry at 330 degrees (see notes) for 7-8 minutes or until crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through. Subsequent batches will take less time as the air fryer will be preheated at that point.
  6. Remove the hot dogs from the air fryer and stick the candy eyes onto the hot dog to make the face.

Notes

  • Serve with choice of dip, such as ketchup, mustard, coney sauce, or cheese sauce.
  • If your air fryer does not go as low as 330 degrees, cook at the lowest temperature setting available (often 350) and check after 5 minutes.
  • You may use squires of mustard or sliced green olives in place of candy eyes, if preferred.
