Air Fried Thick Cut Pork Chops
I love a good pork chop and I love my air fryer, this recipe is the best of both worlds! So, if you picked up some hefty chops and were worried about how long it takes to air fry thick pork chops, don’t fret.
With your air fryer, you can have pork chops that are cooked to perfection with a crusty golden-brown sear in practically no time. Just season, air fry, and enjoy!
Ingredients
▢ 1 lb thick-cut pork chops (2 chops at least 1.5″ thick)
▢ ½ tablespoon olive oil
▢ ½ Tbsp pork seasoning (See recipe or use your own)
Instructions
Coat your pork chops in olive oil and season generously with pork seasoning on all sides.
1 lb thick-cut pork chops, ½ tablespoon olive oil, ½ tablespoon pork seasoning
Place chops in the basket of your air fryer and cook at 390°F (199°C) for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, open the basket and flip the pork chops. Continue to cook for 10 minutes or until the chops reach your desired internal temperature. 145°F (63°C) for medium-rare (*see note).
Once done, remove your pork chops from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Pork chops should be a minimum of 145°F (63°C) for medium-rare doneness, up to 160°F (71°C) for well done, depending on your preference.
Preheating your air fryer to the cooking temp before adding your chops is not essential (I did not do it when I made this recipe), but it always helps develop the crusty sear on the outside even more!
Place your leftover chops in a sealed container and refrigerate for up to 2-3 days or freeze for 2-3 months.
The easiest way to reheat air fried pork chops is to set the air fryer low to 200°F (93°C) and cook for 8-10 minutes until heated through.
