With only a handful of fresh ingredients, these air fryer meatballs are done in 20 minutes! Super juicy and delicious, these are the best meatballs!
Ingredients to make meatballs:
- Ground beef – I like to use a leaner ground beef.
- Pork ground sausage – Use a mild or medium Italian style ground sausage for the best flavor.
- Egg
- Breadcrumbs – plain or panko breadcrumbs will both work for this recipe.
- Seasonings: onion powder, garlic powder, salt, dried basil, dried oregano, dried thyme, ground black pepper,
- Grated parmesan cheese – the type that is powder, not long grated cheese.
- Fresh parsley
How to make meatballs in the air fryer:
- In a large bowl add the breadcrumbs, egg, seasonings, parsley, and grated parmesan cheese. Toss to combine.
- Add the beef and pork into the bowl, then use your hands to combine everything thoroughly.
- Next, taking about 2-3 TBS of meat mixture (this is a hearty sized meatball), roll it into a round ball, pressing it firmly together. Repeat for all of the meat, until you have 18-20 meatballs.
- Please the meatballs into the air fryer basket, making sure they are NOT touching (the air needs to circulate around them).
- Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook 2 batches.
- Cook in the air fryer on 370 degrees for 9 minutes. Open the air fryer and shake the meatballs around, then close and cook for 3-4 additional minutes. The internal temperature of the meatballs should reach 160 degrees F.
- Serve the meatballs immediately alongside your favorite meal.
