Potatoes are delicious no matter how they are cooked. Air fryer accordion potatoes are one of them. The accordion potato recipe is also viral on Tik Tok, I know most of us have already seen it. They are super easy to make and look tempting.

What are accordion potatoes?

The accordion cut is the art of butchery. A thick piece of meat with a large surface is sliced from both sides in a parallel pattern. Similarly, accordion potatoes are first cut at a 90-degree angle, flipped over, and then cut at a 45-degree angle to create a net-like structure.

If you have tried my hasselback potatoes recipe you’ll quickly get this cutting technique.

How to cut accordion potatoes?

Wash the potatoes and peel them if you like, because the potato peels are removed while cutting.

Now cut the 4 sides of the potatoes as shown in the picture. The potatoes should have flat surfaces on both sides.

Then slice the potato into ½ inch thick. And place 2 skewers on each side of the potato. This helps by cutting through the potato all the way down.
