I grew up in England in the 90s and the cheese and bean toastie was everywhere and most nights there would be beans in some shape or form when you came from school and your mum made you dinner.

Yes, you can make a toastie in the air fryer and you will love how golden and crispy an air fryer toastie goes. You can also add or take off the cook time depending on how golden you like your toastie.
How To Make Toastie In Air Fryer?
- Spread. Start by spreading a layer of butter over your bread. Then place two of the slices butter side down into the air fryer basket.
- Load. Next add your toppings to the bread. We had a layer of sliced cheese along with about one heaped tablespoon of baked beans. Then add the second layer of bread, butter side up.
- Cook. Then cook the bean and cheese toastie for 7 minutes at 200c/400f, flip with tongs then the same again for a further 5 minutes before serving.

Ingredients
- 2 Heaped Tbsp Baked Beans
- 6 Slices Double Gloucester Cheese
- 4 Slices White Bread
- Butter, for spreading
Instructions

Spread the bread with butter or margarine and then place two of the slices, side by side, butter side down in the air fryer basket.

Cover the bread with sliced cheese.

Spoon over the cheese, the beans.

Then add the other slices of bread, butter side up.

Air fry for 7 minutes at 200c/400f until golden then turn with tongs and do the same temperature again for another 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Leftovers. This can also work with a lot of different leftovers, such as leftover meat, sausages, other cans besides beans and so much more.
