Air fryer sliced potatoes recipe that’s easy, simple, and quick with under 20 minutes of cooking time. These potato slices in air fryer are tender, fluffy inside, crispy on the outside, and packed full of flavor.

They make a perfect side dish that can be served with chicken, air fryer steak, lamb, salads, vegetables, or on its own. Let me show you how to cook sliced potatoes in air fryer.

Ingredients

500 g (1lb) Potatoes
1 teaspoon Paprika
½ teaspoon Garlic powder
½ teaspoon Onion granules
½ teaspoon Parsley
½ teaspoon Rosemary or Thyme
¼ teaspoon Black pepper or to taste
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon Olive oil

Instructions

Peel the potatoes, wash them and pat dry with paper towels. If you prefer not to peel the potatoes, wash the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt on the skin then pat dry with kitchen towel.
Slice the potatoes into even slices.
Transfer the potatoes into a bowl then add in paprika, parsley, rosemary, onion granules, garlic powder, black pepper, salt and olive oil. Mix till all well combined.
Pour the potatoes into the air fryer basket and spread them out.
Air fry sliced potatoes at a temperature of 380F/180C for 8 minutes, bring out the basket shake it, and air fry potatoes for another 8 minutes or until the potatoes are tender inside and crispy outside.
Bring out the potatoes, and serve.

Notes

You can leave the skin on the potatoes if you prefer. If so, wash thoroughly so they are clean.
Slice the potatoes equally or in similar sizes for even cooking.
Don’t slice the potatoes too thin as this recipe is not for potato crisps.
If you have the time, soak the potatoes in water for 30 minutes to get rid of some of the starch and crisp better.
Adjust salt and black pepper to your taste.
You can use other dry rubs like potato seasoning, vegetable seasoning, etc to season the potatoes before air frying.
Don’t omit the oil as it helps in cooking and crisping the potatoes.
Don’t overfill the air fryer basket. I recommend not to fill it more than a quarter. If need be, you can cook them in batches.
Shake the air fryer basket at least once during cooking so the potatoes cook evenly.
Air fryer temperature varies by brand, size, and wattage so when making an air fryer recipe for the first time, keep an eye on the food and check for doneness at the lowest cooking time recommended after which you can adjust accordingly.
