Are you tired of plain hot dogs? Here is a recipe that is a real game changer. Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs are an easy meal to prepare for your family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 strips Bacon or 16 strips if using 2 per hot dog
  • 8 Hot Dogs
  • 8 Hot Dog Buns

Instructions

Partially Cooking the Bacon in the Oven

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Lay the strips of bacon on a piece of parchment paper that has been placed on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Place the bacon in an oven that has been preheated to 350 degrees F. Cook for 5 minutes.

Partially Cooking the Bacon in the Microwave

  • Place the bacon between sheets of paper towel and place on a microwave safe plate. Cook the bacon for about 1 to 1 ½ minutes. *

Cooking the Bacon Hot Dogs

  • Take a piece of bacon and wrap it around the hot dog. This will take 1 strip of bacon, maybe 2, depending on the bacon and size of the hot dog.
  • Try not to overlap the bacon while wrapping the hot dog.
  • Place the wrapped hot dogs on the air fryer basket.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F. When ready, place the air fryer basket in the air fryer and cook for 7 to 10 minutes until the bacon is crispy.
  • Turn the hot dogs once during the cooking time.

Notes

Partially cooking the bacon first helps ensure the bacon gets really crispy without the hot dog overcooking. We have shown you two different methods to try. Use whichever one works best for you.

* Remember, all ovens, air fryers, and microwaves vary and cooking times may vary.

For easy clean up, and depending on the type of air fryer you have, line the drip tray with aluminum foil.
