To make Maizena Atole Vanilla flavored
Add half a gallon of milk in pan on medium heat and stir occasionally so it dont stick. In a separate bowl add two packets of maizena vanilla flavored cornstarch a d two cups of milk and dissolve the maizena. Add it to the pan of milk, add granulated sugar to your desired sweetenes and stir until it thickens up and begins to boil a little. Then add a cup or two of bacardi to the atole making sure it’s all distributed and turn off the stove and let it rest.
Preparing the Capirotada
Get you desired dish and coat the bottom with atole then grab you toasted bread and dip it in the cinnamon tea making sure all the toast its fully submerged. Due a layer of toasted bread by dipping it in the cinnamon tea. Once you have your layer of toast bread add a layer of atole all throughout, then add your garnishes which is the almonds, pecans and raisins, I put enough where I would need another layer of atole before adding the next layer. All you continue to do is the same steps to your desired layers u want it to be. I normally make it double layer.
Put it in the over at 350 for about 15 minutes and then your all done. Enjoy I hope you guys like it
